The new Ballymac GAA Electronic Scoreboard was launched last Thursday evening the 23rd May in Ballymac GAA pitch by Ballymac GAA Main Sponsor Pádraig McGillicuddy of Ballygarry House Hotel and Spa.
Mr. Pádraig McGillicuddy Proprietor of Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa spoke of their involvement with Ballymac GAA.
“There is a long standing community involvement between Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa and Ballymac GAA. The community are fantastic supporters of Ballygarry from weddings, to occasion dining in Restaurant 58 & casual dining in The Brasserie. It’s a great relationship where the community are invested in Ballygarry as part of the heritage of the parish & Ballygarry are invested in the future of the parish through the club. This has evolved over the past 60 years through generations of events at the hotel. The parish & town boundaries run through the middle of the hotel property & we are fortunate to be involved in both parishes.
Both of us have supported each over for the past 60 years and we are delighted to be the Main Sponsor of Ballymac GAA. Our partnership at this time involves a three-year sponsorship and the purchase of a new electronic score board is a very wise and progressive approach by this hardworking community based club. The scoreboard cost over €10,000.00 and we are delighted to have funded this scoreboard for Ballymac GAA club.
Our wish is for Ballymac GAA to continue as a forwarding looking GAA Club, bringing success to the club and Parish and to remain firmly rooted in our community. Ultimately for the next generation to have a super club & lots of fun”
Mr. Jer Lynch Chairman of Ballymacelligott GAA said he is delighted with the new scoreboard and with the continued support of Ballygarry House Hotel and Spa.
“Ballymac GAA has had highs and lows over the past 100 years and we have consistently got marvellous support from our Community that has helped us continue as a strong GAA club and to improve our facilities. Over the past 60 years Ballygarry House Hotel and the McGillicuddy family, a have been a constant supporter of our Club in so many different ways. They have not just handed over money but have shown a great interest in the progress of Ballymac GAA Club both on and off the field.
