Registration is now open for BWildered 2016 which will take place on 30th April 2016 at 11.00am. This year participants will take part in a 7.5km course.
BWildered hosted by Ballymacelligott GAA Club and sponsored by Lee Strand is Kerry’s ultimate fitness challenge set in the wilderness of Glanageenty, in Ballymacelligott, Co. Kerry. Test your fitness limits while being captivated by one of Ireland’s hidden gems with magnificent views, rugged hills, waterfalls, historical ruins and not forgetting the roaming goats! Steeped in history Glanageenty is where running legend John Lenihan trained to achieve peak fitness and become the World Mountain Running Champion in 1991.
BWildered, the John Lenihan Wilderness Challenge has been designed by John Lenihan and Joe O’Connor, Nisus Fitness who is the Fitness & Performance Expert on RTE’s Ireland’s Fittest Family. The combined experience of both individuals has culminated in the ultimate challenge over a 7.5km route with participants embracing natural obstacles and enduring some surprises along the way. Get your friends together, it will be wet, it will be muddy, it will be fun, it will be challenging, but most of all it will be an experience you will remember.
Participants will receive a finisher’s medal, goody bag, refreshments and post-party BBQ with entertainment.
Remember this is not a race – you can run, jog, crawl – the challenge for you, is to cross the finish line!
