URGENT MESSAGE FOR ALL CLUB MEMBERS
Ballymac GAA club is officially closed as are our two pitches. No one should be on the premises and everyone is asked to train at home.
We are pleading with members to abide by the HSE guidelines of social distancing in order to save lives over the coming weeks.
Kerry Club Fixtures ,
In relation to the Kerry Club Fixtures, while the CCC is not in a position to confirm when our fixtures will resume, that regardless of when these restrictions are lifted, the CCC will allow a lead time of 2 to 3 weeks before any club championship games would be fixed so as to allow all players and teams an opportunity to get back up to speed.
It would be envisaged that at least one Co League game would be played before any Club championship fixtures would be considered.
While the current restrictions on Club activity extends up to 29 March it is generally agreed that this will be extended so the likelihood of club championship games going ahead in April are pretty much negligible.
Depending on how the situation develops and how the Inter-County games programme pan out, we may well have to adjust our own games programme for this year. This may mean a re-structuring or curtailment of some competitions.
The CCC will be examining all the options in due course but at present do not have enough information to hand to make any proposals.
Any changes to the fixtures calendar or competition structures will be well flagged. involve discussion with all the clubs and will only be done with the approval of the County Committee
An Post Arrangements for OAP & DSP Customers
Update from An Post:
The majority of post offices will open from 8am this Friday, 20 March to facilitate OAPs who wish to conduct their business ahead of other customers.
Customers impacted by Covid-19 may nominate a ‘Temporary Agent’ to act on their behalf by completing, in advance, a form available at post offices and online at anpost.com/tempagent.
Post Offices have introduced social distancing and other practical measures to safeguard customers and staff.
Post Office staff will capture customer details directly, avoiding the need for customers to handle counter equipment such as signing pads and pens.
Display boards, floor signs and staff will remind customers to remain apart from other people while in the Post Office.
An Post Mails, Parcels and Post Office networks are working as normal across IrelandAn Post will endeavour to deliver all items. Where a business or home is not accessible, An Post will hold the item free-of-charge in the local Delivery Service Unit for collection by the customer. New Mailminder and Redirection applications have been suspended with immediate effect.
To mitigate against the risk of Covid-19, An Post postal delivery staff will not hand their scanner to the customer for signature. The delivery post person can sign on behalf of the customer, in their presence, for all mails and parcel items that require signature.
An Post will keep all customers up-to-date through this website and via our Social Media channels.
