Academy
Our academy was cancelled last Sunday the 4th October due to the yellow wind alert. We felt it was a Health and Safety issue. We will resume next week again for the penultimate Sunday morning academy for 2020.
U16 Boys
Eddie O’Connell has done an excellent job all year as PRO for the U16 team. He has done all the match reports and keeps the club informed about all of the games and the progress of the team. He has been steadfast in his reporting week in week out during the season. This year it was so important to get a weekly report from our teams when so many could not go to the games. Thank you, Eddie, for all your work, interest in the players and keeping us up to date in their progress.
Our U16s have now finished their season and Eddie would like to thank all the players for their fantastic effort throughout an extraordinary year. The progress shown by the players is a credit to themselves and is a result of the effort they put in during training. They are a credit to their families and to Ballymac GAA club .
He wished to thank the players parents for your support during the year and for obeying the guidelines set down by the GAA which allowed us the opportunity to coach the kids and give them an opportunity to enjoy playing the games.
He thanks his fellow coaches Roland, Martin & John for giving up their free time and giving the players a very high standard of coaching during the summer months.
He thanked Chairman Mike Sweeney for his support, Covid co ordinator/ pitch organiser/ secretary Fionnán Fitzgerald, Coaching Officer Stephen O’Brien , PRO Maureen O’Shea for publishing our Games on social media , Coiste Na nÓg Chairman Declan O’ Connell and secretary Ger Collins for supporting us in these unusual times .Your effort is greatly appreciated.
