One of the highlights of the Year in the Club is the return of our Academy on Sunday mornings as our players of the future practice and hone their skills under the watchful eyes of their coaches.
This Sunday morning it was a joy to behold dozens of Girls and Boys on the pitch enjoying the fun and games for an hour. It was really great to see so many children enjoying a bit of normality and fun together at our club grounds.
It was a special day for all the children for whom it was their first day at Academy, hopefully it is the beginning of many happy days they will experience at the Club.
Thanks to all parents who brought their children on the morning and who filled out health questionnaires and supported the club on the first day back
Thanks also to all the Club members, Coaches and players who braved the wind and rain and got stuck in!! Thanks to our Senior Ladies and Men who came to mentor our future stars.
Great to see the Healthy Club Project really making a strong positive impression on our pitch and thanks to Lee Strand and Teresa Higgins Walker for supporting us.
Any child from the Parish between the ages of 5-11 interested in joining is welcome on Sunday mornings at 11am at our main pitch.
Any queries please contact one of the Coiste na nOg officers below.

U9 Boys
Fáilte ar ais go Ballymac! U9 boys were back in action this morning on the pitch and the weather thankfully held up.
It was great to see a few new faces with us and we had a really enjoyable training session.
We eased the boys back into it by going back over the basic skills and ended our first session with a non-contact match.
Míle buíochas to all the coaches. It’s great to see our community get involved.
See you all next week, same time, same place. Don’t forget to wear your gum-shields and label your water bottle. Ballymac Abú!
Coiste na nÓg
U17 Boys.
Thursday last the 6th May was a good one for our U17 Boys Squad and our Club.
Our outdoor Gym was launched and the boys got on in to the training straight away under the watchful eye of coach Chris Flannery.
It was great to see Our uU1 s continuing with strength and conditioning outdoors under some wonderful May sunshine. This is following on from the core work that the lads have been doing online in March / April.
One can see that they love it and enjoy the challenges and the work out.
The players can then run and sprint in to same area of the pitch (that was rarely used prior to this) and it leaves the main pitch free for other teams. The planning gone in to this by our Club Coaching and Games Committee has been well done. This is a wonderful innovative facility in our club grounds. The use of an area not often used, and turned it into a fantastic training area.
Long may it be in use and may many players train here in the future.
The squad continue to train on Saturday morning from 11 – 12 30 at the Training pitch Players who have been showing some early promising signs were Eoin Creedon ,Luke Horgan, Gary Lynch, Aidan Horgan and Niall Collins .
We would like to extend our best wishes to our u 17 player Donal Daly who is currently training with the Kerry u 17 Squad. Diligently working away and training on his own on the Ballymac pitch. Hopefully Donal will impress the management team in the U 17 Kerry Squad and become a member of the 202 panel .

U15s have had great turnouts with over 26 players training hard over the last 2 weeks and are all delighted to be back on the pitches of Ballymac, we look forward to competitive action in early June now and the boys have plenty to practice at home and at training.
