U12 girls The U.12’s have a busy weekend next week.
First up on Saturday 20th July in Castleisland at 11.30am, is the Jack Rahilly memorial blitz, a mix of the U.12 girls and boys.
Then on the Sunday 21st July is the County Festival of football blitz for the U.12 girls in the Centre of Excellence at Currans, times tbc.
On Saturday last our U12 girls were part of the Guard of Honour and played v Castlegregory in the half time game at the TG4 All Ireland Quarter Final of Kerry v Meath. A great day was had by all, thanks to Des, Liz, Cat and all the parents for all the help on the day.
‘Magical’ is how the U.12 girls described their wonderful day, representing Ballymac in Austin Stack Park for the Kerry Ladies quarter final against Meath.
From the gang meeting up before the game, doing the guard of honour as the Kerry Ladies ran onto the pitch, playing in front of a big crowd against Castlegregory at half time, sitting in the stands cheering on Kerry to a great win and then meeting their heroes afterwards for a chat, autographs and some pictures.
A great day with magical memories. Ballymac abú.
Fantastic display from both out u8 and u10 teams on Saturday Kerry blitz in Mitchel’s.
U8s played 4 games, U10s played 5 games against ISG, Kilcummin, Southern Gaels, St Pats, and Southern Gaels again
Massive effort by all the girls on both teams.
Future of Ballymac LGFA is strong.
Academy
Our U5’s were out in great numbers this Sunday where they practiced their soloing with the help of hoops, played a game of sneaky tag, chased each other (and their coach) in very competitive games of duck-duck-goose and put all their skills on display in small sided matches. As always, a huge thanks to our wonderful coaches for all the fun and games. New players and coaches always welcome!!
Academy is 11am to 12 noon every Sunday,
Mothers and Others
Our Gaelic for Mothers and Others team enjoyed a great training session on Tuesday night continuing the high of their matches in Dingle the weekend before. New players always welcome. No experience necessary, we promise! Training continues Tuesday night in our Training Pitch, 19:00
