Club Senior Team
On Saturday night our men’s senior team welcomed St. Mary’s for Rd. 5 of the Div. 1 Co. Lge. With both clubs having victories in Rd. 4 this was an opportunity to build momentum.
With Ballymac looking to press early to test the St. Mary’s defence the concession of a number of frees a early lead was established. Both teams then traded opportunities to probe before Ballymac tagged on a few more points, going in at half time 14 points to 3 in front.
The start of the second half St. Mary’s looked to press to close the gap resulting 2 early points. For the remainder of the half both teams traded points and goals.
At the final whistle the final score in this good spirited game was Ballymacelligott 2:20 – St. Mary’s 1:08.

With Beaufort at the bottom of the league table, and our boys joint top, leading into the game, we outplayed the visitors in most areas of the field, even after a slow start, winning comfortably in the end.
Well done lads.
Next up is the semi-final away to Austin Stacks. Time and date tbc.

Feile 2022
Competing in the Division 1 qualifying rounds in Rathmore on Saturday last our boys qualified for the semi-final stages in Kerry GAA Centre of Excellence on this Bank Holiday Monday at 2.45pm.
Playing the hosts Rathmore in the first game, each game 15 mins per half, we won, meaning if we won our second game we were through.
This turned out to be a very tight affair with our lads showing great heart and no little skill to take the victory after an excellent final 10 minutes.
Well done again everyone.
Under 11s
Our under 11s played away to Dr Crokes in Killarney last Thursday evening. Both the gold and blue team played some excellent football. Well done boys and well done to the U9 players Daniel Maher, Gearóid Jones and Conor Mangan for joining us. Thanks to all who travelled over and thanks to Dr Crokes for hosting. Our next game is at home to Laune Rangers on the 5th May.
Under 5s
What a fun session this morning with our U5 academy players. The kids were bursting with energy as they practiced their handpasses and kicking skills which are progressing week on week. Using props and games the kids are also improving in their ability to follow complex drills, and play together as a team. We look forward to more fun and games next week.
