Minor Boys
Ballymac John Mitchels – Minor – Club Championship A Shield Semi Final
Ballymac GAA 1-19 (22)
John Mitchels 2-13 (19)
Our Minor team played John Mitchels in the semi-final of the Club Championship A shield on a cloudy evening in Ballymac GAA pitch last Monday Evening, July 15th.
In the first half, both teams went at it in a frantic, high paced game. It was an even affair for much of the opening period with both sides exchanging scores. However, it was the ever-impactful full forward Jack Joy who found the back of the net with a neat finish into the bottom right corner that helped the home side establish an advantage going into the break.
Ballymac 1-11 John Mitchels 1-05
In the second period, it continued to be a tight affair with the visitors continuing to threaten. The dangerous Gearóid White for Mitchels was a consistent danger and put in a fine display for the Mitchels. However, scores from the hard-working Jack Collins, the impressive Eoin Moriarty, Gearóid Healy & from the substitute Sean Martin ensured Ballymac came through with a three-point victory in a fine display, especially from our forward line. This game had it all in terms of entertainment value.
Following on from this victory, we play Rathmore in the Minor Club Championship A Shield Final in Rathmore on Monday, the 22nd of July in Fossa GAA at 7pm. We hope to see a strong Ballymac support in Fossa to support the team and management. Ballymac Abú!
Jack Joy (1-05) Jack Collins (0-3) Michael Quirke (0-2) Eoin Moriarty (0-2) Gearóid Coughlan (0-2) Gearóid Healy (0-2) Sean Martin (0-2) Micheal O’Connor (0-1)

Mothers and Others
St.Pats Blennerville invited our Ballymac Mothers and Others Team across the bridge on Wednesday 17th. A great evening of fun and football was had! We were lucky to bring Denise Poff home to Ballymac on this occasion! Denise is a stalwart in our defence but originally hails from Blennerville where all her family are still actively involved in the club! An evening of lively banter as well as football ensued! We look forward to meeting again!
