by Joanne Long PRO
Academy
Academy is 11am to 12 noon every Sunday, New players always welcome to join us on Sunday mornings.
U10 girls played second go game against Currow tonight at home …a fantastic display across the 4 quarters by all the girls…big thanks to Donal Rahilly for reffing and Ballymac played well all over the pitch with tigerish defending followed up with great linkup attacking play.
With some fantastic scores taken,
Next stop is Mitchell’s this Monday night
Under 12 girls
The Ballymac U.12 girls played 2 games against very good Fossa teams yesterday.
A big improvement tonight especially in slippery Conditions.
The girls played wonderful stuff with some lovely teamwork, often ending in well taken scores. Our captain for the evening, Aobha Bolger led by example with a good few score, Saoirse Brosnan, out injured for a while, played like she was never away. Milly Sheehan, Doireann Broderick and Aimee O’ Rourke got through loads of ball and ran all night.
Again, the U.10’s, Jasmine, Megan, Chloe, Isha, Ella May and Natalia fitted in flawlessly, and contributed in every way. A big thanks to our refs, Anna Collins & Jill Quirke and also to JP, Tom (Academy coaches) and Heather who umpired, set out the pitches and encouraged etc. all night.
We play again Tuesday 2nd July at 6.30pm away to Dr. Crokes
Under 15 Boys
U15 Central Region D2
Ardfert 5-15
Ballymac 4-08
It was a high scoring game, and it was nip and tuck for 3 quarters. With many lead changes, we lost out ultimately in the last quarter, where Ardfert went on a run, which we couldn’t reel in.
Plenty positives.
Next up, Glenbeigh/Cromane
On Friday evening our u15 division 5 travelled to An Ghaeltacht in the first round of the central region
Where we were deserved winners on a score line of Ballymac 5:06
to An Ghaeltacht 2:03. Thanks to the u13 players that helped on the night.
Our next game is at home to Kerins Rahilly’s in 2 Weeks time.
