Ballymac Minors
Dr Crokes GAA v Ballymacelligott GAA – Minor – Div 1 A – Third Round
Dr Crokes GAA 1-12 (15)
Ballymac GAA 1-10 (13)
Our Minor team played Dr Crokes on a temperate, relatively calm afternoon in Lewis Road on Saturday, 2nd of March in the third round of the county league Division 1B.
In the first half, it was the home side who took the early initiative with a goal giving the Crokes side the early advantage. Crokes led by 5 points at one stage in the opening period but, Ballymac did not give up under some intense pressure and a dipping ball into the square by Eoghan Joy managed to get the better of the Crokes keeper which brought our lads right back into the game. Half time score Dr Crokes 1-06 Ballymac 1-06.
The second period continued to be a nip and tuck affair with both sides in equal amounts of the ball. However, it was the home side who proved to be the ultimately more clinical with Ballymac scoring 4 points and the Killarney men scoring 6 in the second half. It was the Crokes who ultimately prevailed in the finish however our lads left everything on the field in a trojan effort.
A Notable mention goes to Jack Joy who had 8 points in the finish. Our fourth-round game is to be confirmed. Please keep an eye on the club social media channels for further information.
Jack Joy (0-8) Eoin Joy (1-0) Martin McKivergan (0-1) Ciarán O’Connell (0-1)

Hard Luck
