Round 6 of the County League was a welcome return to our home ground for our senior team and supporters. The opposition was top of the table Dr. Crokes who proved why they were top of the table with a decisive win in Ballymacelligott on Saturday evening.
The crucial score in the game proved to be a second goal conceded by Ballymacelligott just before halftime. Up to that point, Ballymac were losing by two points and doing well.
It was a lovely evening for football in Ballymacelligott on Saturday evening, and it was a privilege, for us to welcome Patrick O’Sullivan, The Chairman of the Kerry County Committee to our home ground.
Dr Crokes took the lead, which they never lost, with two points from Cian McMahon and Micheal Burns. Ballymac’s first point came from Daire Keane and this was immediately followed by a goal from Daithi Casey and a point from Mikey Casey for Dr Crokes.

Two more points, from Aidan Breen and Michael Herlihy and there were just two points between the teams. In the 29th minute, Dr Crokes scored that crucial goal that came from a free taken by Micheal Burns.
