As 2020 draws to a close, it is time for us to pause and reflect on a year like no other. There may have been testing times, stressful days and anxious moments…. But also maybe acts of kindness and re-assessment of our priorities.
Ballymac people rose to the Covid challenge with vigor and a re-ignited sense of community.
A local shop opened, a community response team met the needs of our older residents, phone calls were made and many quiet acts of kindness were undertaken.

Roads were lined with guards of honour for friends whom we lost. Standing in silence as a mark of respect and unity.
2021 will be brighter. Ballymac will be a stronger community because of what we all have endured together.
The Health and Wellbeing Committee ask you to raise your colours at 1pm on the 01/01/21.
Pull some blue and yellow from somewhere, make a flag, buy balloons! Let’s stand together, no matter where (in the world) you are on that day.
Take one minute to appreciate your health, those with you and more than ever where you come from.
Send (wats app) a photograph of that captured moment to 087-7532949….we will begin the year 2021 together in spirit.
