Club Notes 11t June 2012

Round 4 of the County League Division 3 was played at a sunny Ballymac on Friday evening.

The game started at a good pace and Ballymac went ahead with a point from Colin McSwiney. Keel had the next three points from Gary Sayers (2) and Jason Foley. Ballymac replied with a McSwiney free to make it 0-03 to 0-02 after 11 minutes. This was to be Ballymac’s last score until the 30th minute. Keel took complete control of the remainder of the half and gave an exhibition of point taking. They were first to every ball and the home side who were well off the pace had no answers. Half time score Ballymac 0-03 Keel 0-10

Ballymac started the second half much brighter and had a goal and a point from Colin McSwiney in the first 2 minutes and the comeback seemed to be on. Keel however settled the game down again and kicked the next 5 points through the impressive Garry Sayers and Liam Sheehan to end the game as a contest. Aiden Breen had the last score of the game for a disappointing Ballymac side to leave the final score Ballymac 1-06 Keel 0-16
