Our Senior team won their second Co. League game in a row on Saturday evening last in Ballybunion with a 1 point victory over Beale. The home side had the better and led at half time by 0 – 4 to 0 – 3. Ballymac scores coming from Luke Sweeney (0-2) and Daniel O Shea (0 – 1). A feature of the first half for Ballymac was the excellent performance of Niall O Shea at right half back. Ballymac upped their game in the second half and the decisive score of the game was a fine individual goal by Aidan Breen. This score allied to points by Luke Sweeney, Aidan Breen, and Padraig McCarthy saw us run out winners on a scoreline of Ballymac 1 – 6 Beale 0 – 8. A special mention must go to corner back Brendan O Donnell who gave an exhibition of blocking throughout the game.
