Scartaglin 0-07
Ballymac 0-08
This County League Div 3 back game was played in Scartaglin on Sunday last. A very heavy and rough pitch meant it was going to be a struggle to play high quality football. In a very tight first half scores were always going to be hard to come by. Scartaglin were first off the mark with a point from Mike Horan. Ballymac got off the mark with a lovely Frank Rahilly point. A pointed free by Eoin O Siocru and another by Con Reynolds had the away team ahead by 3 points to 1 after 25 mins. Scartaglin then had Pa Rahilly sent off for a kick out and Ballymac were in control but poor shooting meant that it remained a close game. Scartaglin finished the half well with 3 points to leave it Scartaglin 0-05 Ballymac 0-04 at half time.
The second half was also a tight affair but the away team had the better start with points from Genie Griffin and Frank Rahilly. An Eoin O Siocru free put Ballymac two points ahead but the home team once again hit back with two points to tie the game up again. It was end to end action now and Ballymac were awarded a free which Aiden Breen converted to win the game for Ballymac on a scoreline of Scartaglin 0-07 Ballymac 0-08.

LADIES FOOTBALL:
Under 14 Team
This year we formed an U12 girls team – the first time in the Club’s history. It was a great experience for all the girls and coaches involved. As many of the girls will be over age next year, the club are attempting to form an U14 girls team. It would be fantastic for everybody to keep the girls playing for Ballymacelligott GAA Club. To ensure this happens we will need to get new players for the coming year. Anyone interested please contact any of the girls coaches, Donal Rahilly 087 6173912, Keiran Savage 087 2221720, Gerard Hurley 087 2382008, Anthony Curran 087 2713507 or Mary Slattery 087 2475680 or come down to training any Sunday morning from 11am to 12.15
