This St. Brendans Board game was a very lively affair held at a sunny Blennerville on Sunday last. Ballymac welcomed back a number of players for this game.
Ballymac were first off the mark with a point from Thomas Lyons, but this was cancelled out in the next attack from St. Pats. Ballymac then reeled off a goal from Eoin Sugrue and minors from Dermot Leen and Sugrue again. St. Pats then scored 1-04 without reply until Ballymac full forward Padraig McCarthy stepped up and scored 0-3 to leave the half time score, Ballymac 1-06 St Pats 1-05.
St. Pats began the second half better and had 0-4 points to 0-1 (Paul Sugrue) for Ballymac.
The away team then began to take over and scored the next 7 points from Eoin O Siocru (2), Aiden Breen, Padraig McCarthy (2), Willie O Connell and Gene Griffin. St. Pats had the final point of the game to leave the score Ballymac 1-14 St. Pats 1-10

Round 3 of the County League was played in Churchill on Saturday last. Ballydonoghue were first to score with a point in the first minute. The home team hit back with a goal (Penalty) and two points. Ballymac/Churchill pushed on from this to lead at half time 2-06 to 0-04.
Ballydonoghue registered the first three points in the second half. It was ten minutes old when the combined team registered a point. Further points from both sides left the full time score at Ballymac/Churchill 2-11 Ballydonoghue 0-10

St. Patrick’s Day Parade :
We are delighted to announce that Ballymac GAA Coiste na nÓg will be marching in this year’s parade in Tralee on Thursday. We will be assembling at the back entrance of Walter Lyons furniture store on John Joe Sheehy Road at 11 30 am. We hope that as many juveniles will march in the parade and if they can bring their jeseys to wear to add colour to the occasion. Please dress for the weather also. Looking forward to seeing ye all there on St. Patrick’s Day.
Faoi 6 / 8 / 10 :
Training for these age groups will begin on Sunday April 3rd at 11 am sharp at the juvenile pitch. For those who have yet to register can do so on the morning. Fáilte roimh peileadóirí nua !!

Liam, Fiona, Aidan and Tony have been putting the players through their paces every Sunday morning over the past number of weeks. Great enthusiasm has been shown by all concerned and we await the commencement of competition with anticipation. Remember ” Déanann cleachtadh máistreacht “
Faoi 14 :
Our U-14s played a worthwhile game away to Ballyheigue on Sunday last with good performances by all 15 on the day. Mentors Gene O Keeffe, David Long and Seamus Quirke were well satisfied with the attitude of all players and this display augers well for the forthcoming season. Faoi 16 :
Next Sunday sees our U-16s play Knock/Brosna in the semi-final of the Castleisland District League with time and venue yet to be decided. It promises to be a very close encounter as both sides served up a cracking contest in the League with our boys coming out on top by just two points. We are hoping for a repeat performance and a place in the district final . Training continues each Wednesday and Friday night at 7 pm.
New Central Board Region :
Competition for the u-16s in this new region begins on the weekend of Sat 26th with an opening round game versus Austin Stacks. We are really looking forward to this new competition which will afford us new and different competition.
Ladies Football :
It is our intention to organise an underage girls football team in the club and we will have a team of coaches and mentors in place. Registration and training will take place on Sunday April 3rd at 11 am in the juvenile pitch. Fáilte roimh na cailíní.
