SENIORS
Ballymac 0-12 Cordal 1-6
Ballymac progressed to the Premier Junior Championship with a hard earned victory over Cordal on Saturday evening last in Ballymac.
The teams were level after 15 minutes 0-3 apiece,Phillip O Connor(0-2)and Niall O Ciardubhain(0-1)the Cordal scorers with Shane O Reilly,Jonathon Keane and Tomas O Connor replying for the home side.Vincent Horan edged Ballymac ahead with a point but two more Phillip O Connor points saw the visitors lead at half time 0-5 to 0-4.
Ballymac played their best football in the 15 minutes after half time and points from Aidan Breen(0-3) ,Vincent Horan,Padraig McCarthy and Tomas O Connor put them in the driving seat.
Cordal hit back with a Brian Reidy point before Niall O Ciardubhain goaled to reduce the lead to a single point.Daniel O Shea then pointed to extend the Ballymac lead.
The final ten minutes were frantic as Cordal strove to rescue the game and they were indebited to goalkeeper Sean Og O Ciardubhain who made a fine save from Micheal Reidy following a good run.Ballymac also had their defence to thank for keeping a determined Cordal attack at bay with Liam Dunne in particular making some timely interceptions.Luke Sweeney had the final point of the game ensuring his side progressed.

The draw for the Premier Junior Championship which took place on Sunday evening threw up another local derby for us as we travel to Killeen in Oakpark to take on Na Gaeil on Saturday evening next at 6.30pm. Please keep an eye on facebook and twitter for any possible changes to this fixture. Please make every effort to support the lads in this game as they endeavour to make the Quarter Finals of the Junior Championship.
MINORS
Last Friday evening Churchill hosted John Mitchels in the Semi-final of the division 4B County League. Churchill came out on top in this game and will now play Ballymac in the final on a date which will be confirmed later this week. Best of luck to our minor team in the final.
KERRY MINORS
Well done to our Club minor players Micheal Reidy and Tomas O Connor who played with the Kerry Minor Team in their victory over Waterford last week. The lads and their team mates are now in a semi final against Clare which is to be played in the coming weeks.

SCÓR
Commiserations to our figure dancers coached by Josephine Fearns, who were not successful in the Scor na bPaisti County Final held in Foilmore on Sunday last. Nevertheless it was a great achievement for them to reach the Co. Final. This now brings down the curtain on Scor activities for the year. Many thanks to Scor Officer Anthony Curran and his wife Nora for the work they have put in in the organisation of Scor within the Club.
COMMUNITY GAMES
Ballymacelligott Community Games are holding their Athletics evening on Monday April 25th at 7:15pm at An Riocht track Castleisland. Participants must be over 6 ,under the age ,of event before July 31st and from Ballymacelligott parish.

Bake Sale Sunday April 24th 2016
The day is fast approaching for the Nohoval National School annual Bake Sale. It will take place in St. Brendan’s Hall, Ballymacelligott on Sunday April 24th, from 10.30am to 2pm.
Tea and Coffee will be available if people want to sit and chat for a while. There will also be a raffle (prizes include signed Kerry jersey, family passes to lots of attractions, hotel and beauty voucers, etc.), Face painting and a nail bar for the kids and a Children’s Art Display to enjoy. At 12 O’clock renowned chef Mark Doe will be on hand for a Cupcake Decorating Demonstration. Come along and enjoy!
