JUNIORS
C’island Desmonds 2-09 Ballymac 4-10
Our Junior team made the best possible start to the Co. Junior League with a 4-10 to 2 – 9 victory over Desmonds in Castleisland on Saturday evening last. The home side with wind advantage had the better of the first half and led at the break on a scoreline of 1 – 8 to 1 – 4 with Stephen Bermingham the Ballymac goal scorer. In the second half our boys stepped up a gear and played some scintillating football. Further goals from David Keane, Michael Herlihy and Micheal Reidy ensured victory for the Ballymac side which had a good mix of youth and experience. They can now look forward with confidence to this weekends game at home to Gneeveguilla on Friday night at 7.30pm.
