Ballymac 1-09
Listry 1-09
In a game when both sides needed to win to keep promotion alive it was always likely that a draw would end up being the result!
In a tight first half scoring was low. Ballymac got off to a good start with points from Genie Griffin and an Aiden Breen free. Listry replied through the lively Derry Ahern. Griffin added another point and Listry got the game level with two more points from Ahern. An Aiden Breen free left the halftime score Ballymac 0-04 Listry 0-03. The second half continued in the same vein as the first with points coming from frees from Breen (2) and Dan O Shea. Listry also had two frees from the boot of Joe Clifford. The away side then struck for what looked to be the winning score when Damien Clifford finished to the net. However Ballymac responded really well and following a great run and pass from the impressive Shane O Reilly the ball ended up in the net from the boot of Padraig McCarthy. Both sides tried hard for the winning score but it was not to come.
