COISTE NA NOG AGM
The AGM of Coiste na nOg section of the Ballymac GAA Club was held in its Club rooms on Sunday evening last. In his report Secretary Dave Slattery gave a comprehensive account of the affairs of the Coiste Club in 2016. Chairman John Rice thanked all officers for their efforts throughout the year and looked forward to 2017 with the club numbers and the financial position of the club in a healthy position. John Rice complimented all involved in the smooth running of Feile within the Club during 2016. John acknowledged that Willie Costello is stepping down from his role in registration and this position is being taken by Robbie Harris. Tributes were paid to Willie who was the Coiste registrar for many years.
COISTE NA NOG REGISTRATION
Registration for 2017 will take place in the club rooms on Friday the 3rd of February from 7.30pm – 9.00pm. A second registration night will take place on Friday the 03rd of March from 7.30pm – 9.00pm.
ACADEMY 2017
The U6 boys and girls will start back in St Brendan’s Hall on the 19th of February. The Ballymac academy will start back on Sunday the 12th of March at 11.00am for the U8 and U10 boys.
Ballymacelligott Handball
Ballymacelligott Handball AGM was held on Wed. Jan 18th and all outgoing officers were re-elected. All Members are requested to complete membership forms and return them as soon as possible.
Also Juvenile Beginners training for 8yrs and over will commence on Monday January 30th at 7.30 until 8.30.
County Club Forum
Our Club had a full attendance at The County Club Forum on Saturday last.
The morning session was devoted to discussions on Clubs, Players, Fixtures, Registration and methods of registration. A wide range of issues and ideas were put forward by the Clubs of the County. The afternoon session was devoted to the Kerry GAA Strategic plan for the next three years. A recap on the last Strategic plan was presented by County Secretary Peter Twiss and over all Kerry did very well in achieving its goals laid out on that plan. All of the various challenges facing clubs were discussed and outlined in a very good discussion. The County Chairman Tim Murphy closed the day with a promise of continued support in every way for all the Clubs in The County.
