Currow 0-10
Ballymac 1-06
Currow hosted this Div 3 league game on Sunday last. In a very low scoring first half Currow went in leading 0-03 to 0-02 with Aiden Breen scoring for Ballymac. Ballymac began the second half much the better and had points from Aiden Breen and Eoin O Siocru to go ahead. Currow replied with three points of their own, the pick being a Seamus Scanlon point following a good run.
The evergreen Ruari Rahilly pointed for the away side but Currow then took conrol of the game and had the next three scores to make it 0-09 to 0-05 with 12 minutes to go. Ballymac then had their best move of the game, a great run from Breen saw the ball arrive to Denis Leen who played a lovely pass accross goal to Ruari Rahilly, who finished the ball to the net following a lovely side step of the keeper. Rahilly then had a point to leave the minimum between the sides. Despite their best efforts Ballymac could not find the all important equaliser. A very good team effort from Ballymac against a team fighting for promotion.
