Senior Team
John Mitchels 1-12, Ballymac 1-05
Ballymac Seniors played John Mitchels in a doubled up fixture for Tralee Town League and St. Brendans Board game on Sunday at Mitchels.
A very heavy pitch made it hard to play good football. Great credit is due to both teams for the sporting manner in which the game was contested.
Ballymac were once again under strength which meant a starting place for a number of the younger players.
Mitchels played with the strong wind in the first half and opened well scoring 1-04 before an Aiden Breen free got Ballymac off the mark. Four more Mitchels points were followed by another Breen pointed free leaving the half time score 1-08 to 0-02 to Mitchels.
The second half saw Ballymac start much brighter, scoring three points, Aiden Breen (Free), Thomas Lyons and Breen again from play to match one from the Mitchels. Two more Mitchels points followed to make the score 1-11 to 0-05. Some neat play and a good run and pass from Eoin Sugrue resulted in Aiden Breen crashing the ball to the Mitchels net. A pointed free from Mitchels was the last of the game. Final Score Mitchels 1-12 Ballymac 1-05

Minors:
Balymac/Churchill 1-10, Listowel 1-07
Round one of the County Minor league was played in Churchill on Sat 26th feb at 4.00pm. Heavy rain for the first 10 minutes made conditions very heavy and sticky. Listowel won the toss and opted to play with the breeze in the first half. The home backs had to work hard to keep the visitors forwards at bay. Listowel had 3 points on the board before the combined team registered their first score. Half time score Ballymac/Churchill 0-03 Listowel 1-04.
The home side started much better in the second half. They scored a goal and 3 points before Listowel registered a point. Ballymac/Churchill kept the pressure on the visitors and it paid off in the end. Final Score: Ballymac/Churchill 1-10 Listowel 1-07
