The County League Round 2 back game was played at a sunny Blennerville on Sunday. Ballymac who were short a number of players started brightly and scored the first two points through the “Shane’s” Dowling and Reilly. Ballyduff responded well and had the next three points. Following a couple of Ballymac wides an Aiden Breen free tied the game. Another Breen free nudged the home team in front. A flowing Ballymac move resulted in captain Paudie Mac being upended in the square for a penalty, which was expertly converted by Aiden Breen. Ballyduff responded with a pointed free but Ballymac finished the half with two fine Shane Reilly points. Half time score Ballymac 1-06, Ballyduff 0-04

The second half began with a pointed free for Ballyduff. The home team the took over and Aiden Breen went on a scoring spree, putting over the next five points (4 from frees). Sub Colin McSwiney also added a point to make the score 1-12 to 0-05 and end the game as a contest. Ballyduff to their credit responded with four points, but yet another excellent point from Breen settled the nerves. Sub Con Reynolds had the final score of the game. Final score Ballymac 1-14 Ballyduff 0-10.
