Ballymac lost their unbeaten record in the Division 4 county league to an excellent St. Senans team on Sunday in Ballymac. The home team were first to score from a Genie Griffin free but Senans replied quickly scoring two points from corner forwards Dara Kennelly and Sean O Connell. The teams then exchanged wides before Barry Somers pointed for the away team. Ballymac then produced their best move of the first half when a great run and pass by Matthew Galvin resulted in full forward Shane Dowling crashing the ball to the net. The away team once again gained control of midfield and kicked the next five points. Half time score Ballymac 1-01 St. Senans 0-08.

Ballymac began the second half with much more purpose and points by Padraig McCarthy and Daniel O’ Shea reduced the gap to two points. Pointed frees were then exchanged as the game moved into the last quarter. Super sub Gene O’ Keeffe put over two pointed frees and Cathal deLacy kicked a great point to level up the game.
However the away team to their credit finished the stronger and had the final two points of the game.
