Ballymac made it two wins from two in this division 3 county league round 2 game played at a sunny Ballymac on Saturday evening. The home side started well and had the ball in the net after only three minutes from Aiden Breen. Templenoe replied with a point from Cian Hallissey. Two pointed frees from Breen and points from Padraig McCarthy and Dan O Shea made the scoreline 1-04 to 0-02. Ballymac then had a fine point from midfielder Con Reynolds and the half ended with another goal from the mercurial Aiden Breen. Half time score Ballymac 2-05 Templenoe 0-02. The second half began with Templenoe points from Hallissey and John Spillane. Ballymac responded with a fisted point from Aiden Breen. Then came the move of the match when Brendan O Donnell went on a great run and got the ball to McCarthy who crashed the ball to the net. Templenoe continued to try hard and had three points Cian Hallissey. The last point of the game went to man of the match Aiden Breen for Ballymac. Final score Ballymac 3-07 Templenoe 0-07. Congrats to everyone involved on producing a great performance full of heart and hunger. Credit must also go to the Ballymacelligott club for having the pitch in fantastic condition on the night.

Ballymacelligott GAA was very well represented in Coiste Scor Chiarraí – Scor Na bPaisti Babhta Ceannias Chiarrai (Scor na bPaisti County Final), which was held in The Tintean Theatre, Ballybunion on Sunday 7th April. They did their Club, mentors and parents proud. It was clear to see the amount of practice and teamwork these children had done for the past number of months and they were rewarded by winning the best overall club in the County.
Representing our Club were: First place in Ballad Group section were: Clare Kenny, Oonagh O Keefe, Heather Jones, Laura Daly and Therese Keane.
Recitation: Niamh O Rahilly came second and the Quiz Team made up of Killian Gallagher, Tiernan Brosnan, Oonagh O Keeffe and Claire Kenny came third.
We take this opportunity to thank all the children who took part, their mentors who worked tirelessly with them for the past number of weeks and to their parents who must be very proud indeed.
