Coiste na nÓg News:
U16 Boys
Ballymac 3-10
Na Gaeil 2-08.
Our 16s played Na Gaeil in Ballymac on Sunday 7th of October in Round 2 of the Tralee District League . Played in ideal conditions our boys got off to a dream start with 3 points from placed balls from the boot of Adam Joy .
Na Gaeil were slow to settle and gradually found their rhythm after 15 minutes & took the lead with them to the dressing room at the interval leading by (Na Gaeil) 1 05 to (Ballymac )0 03 Pts .
Ballymac got the first score of the second half from the boot of Adam Joy to close the gap . Na Gaeil responded with a point of their own, but Ballymac hit a purple patch hitting 1 02 to level the Game-the goal ,a superb strike from Sean Horan . Na Gaeil responded again with another goal & a point , but Ballymac were not to be denied and when Adam Joy hit the net & Denis Brosnan pointed from an awkward angle, the game was tied up with ten minutes remaining. Our boys drove on in the last ten minutes : another goal from Sean Horan and points from Donal Daly & Adam Joy gave us a 5 point lead on a Scoreline of 3 -10 to 2- 08. Thanks to Na Gaeil for a fine sporting Game & to all parents for their support on the Day . We play Ardfert next Sunday in the final Game of the Tralee District League. We will confirm time later in the week.
