Its a great place to be in An All Ireland Final and Ballymac GAA sends all our best wishes to Peter Keane, his management team and The Kerry Senior Squad who take on the Dubs on Saturday next. Its great to be once again in an All Ireland Final! We wish all our members and all supporters a safe journey to and from Croke Park. Ciarraí Abú!!

Due to the replay of the All Ireland Final our Senior Football League Game V Piarsaigh na Dromada has been postponed indefinitely. We will keep you all posted in this very important game for our club.
Erection of New Nets in Main Pitch
For Health & Safety Reasons Ballymac GAA Club has to erect nets behind our Goals. This necessitates the trees, that are behind the goals, being trimmed first and then the erection of the nets. All the preparatory work and cost estimates have taken place. This work is necessary and will be done over the next few weeks. The estimate cost is in excess of €9,500.00. This is a big added expense for our club that we have to budget and fundraise for. Any contribution to the club from anyone would be really appreciated. Every contribution makes a difference. Many Thanks.

U12 Blue & Gold team news
Both our U12 teams travelled to Gallarus to play An Ghaeltacht on Tuesday night last. The match reports from both games are as follows:
Blue Team
Ballymac Blue 4 09
An Ghaeltacht 1 08
Our Blue team travelled to Gallarus on Tuesday evening for our Div 1 Central Region Game.
This match was truly about a team performance.
On our previous visit in late June the hosts hit us for 4 23 playing excellent football on the night but it was Ballymac boys this time who showed a greater resolve and team spirit defending admirably and excellent attack play on a difficult night weather wise for football.
The years experience playing in Div 1 told throughout this game as boys showed excellent composure and work rate any time An Ghaeltacht had possession, our defending was a carbon copy of what was displayed by the Green and Gold in Croke Park from forwards to goalkeeper everyone worked as a unit continually turning over Ghaeltacht and denying them of scores. Credit to all 14 players involved for an excellent performance in the blue of Ballymac.
Gold Team
Ballymac Gold 4-08
An Ghaeltacht B 1-03
On Tuesday evening we travelled to the hallowed pitch at Gallarus via bus to play An Ghaeltacht B team. We had played this opposition twice previously and had two facile victories.
On a wet and windy night both teams fielded 15 players on a tight pitch which combined with the wet conditions led to lots of handling errors by both sides and scores proved hard to come by for both teams. There was little to separate the teams at half time.
Our boys put in a much improved performance in the second half with some nice passing and support play combined with strong tackling from all our defenders to help us dominate the second half. We had strong performances from Eoghan Joy and Padraig Reidy in midfield while Luke Griffin and Jamie Tarrant got early goals to give us a lead. Our newest recruit Jorge Garcia from Madrid played very well in his first ever game of Gaelic football. Well done to the boys on a hard earned victory over a much improved An Ghaeltacht side.

U12 Girls
On Tuesday (2nd September) Ballymac U12 girls played Abbeydorney in the North Kerry Shield Final in Abbeydorney.
We had a terrible start conceeding 3 early goals but gradually settled and the game was fairly even from that point on.However, despite goals from Gill and Anna and some great saves from Sarah in goals we were always behind and Abbeydorney well deserved their win.
We are hoping for a better result and overall team performance in the plate Final on Wednesday (11 September) away to Na Gael.
U14 Girls
Another success for the girls as they defeated Kerins O’Rahillys North Kerry League, division 1 on 6th September.
Their next game is a home fixture against Abbeydorney at 7pm on Tuesday 10th Septembe
