FAOI 16: We beat Knock/Brosna in the Castleisland district semi-final last Friday night. The boys met Desmonds on Monday 13th for the Final which was played in Ballymac. Score not available at the time of going to print.
FAOI 14: Our County Final which was fixed for last Wednesday evening did not take place as Ballyduff did not fulfill the fixture. It was very unfair that our players and supporters were allowed arrive at the venue in miserable weather only to then find out Ballyduff were not coming. Earlier notice would have been helpful. The relevant committee of the county board will decide what happens next. Best wishes to our panel members who are due to line out with St. Kierans during the week.
FAOI 12(B): Ballymac 10-7 Currow 6-5. County League Division 4B. The lads put in a great nights work on Bank Holiday Monday evening last to overcome a stern challenge from Currow. There was some very good team play to be seen on the night, which laid the foundation for our win. There were some great performances on the night from several players including Darragh Broderick, Jonathan Lowe, Jack Tobin, Ciaran Brosnan and Aidan O’Brien. Well Done boys. Keep up the great work.
The boys were also in action on Sunday evening against Ballyduff. The result being Ballymac U12 (B) 7-7 Ballyduff 4-2. The lads put in a great team display tonight. Starting with nine players aside the boys took the fight to Ballyduff from the throw in. Kyle O’Connor and Bryan Cassidy lead from the full forward line. Sean Horan had a great evening and is showing huge potential. A great team display by all. We meet Annascaul next week away.
Ballymac 3-10 Ballyduff 4-07 was the result from the U12 (A) team. Phase two of U12 began last Sunday evening with a home game against Ballyduff. Played in lovely conditions teams finished all square on the night. We were down 12 points at one stage and great credit must be given to all the lads you put in a mighty performance and were very unlucky not to come out on top. Next Sunday night we are away to Annascaul in what should be another cracking game. Panel on the night; Diarmuid Lynch, David Rogers, Liam o Brien(capt), Jack Sugrue, Dean Lenihan, Darragh Brosnan, Darragh Lynch, Eoghan Leahy, Dylan Mc Hugh, Eoin Culloty, Darragh Leen, Dylan Dunne Moriarty, Cian Godley.

They played games against Desmonds, Currow, Cordal and Scartaglin. The second night of Castleisland District U8 football blitz will take place in Ballymac next week Thursday 23/5/2013 at 7pm.
