Second half began and with the wind at our backs, Diarmuid Lynch kicked over our first point. Ardfert came back with two more points and then Ballymac made a few switches with Cian Godley going full back and Liam O’Brien going up the field we came into the game with a goal from Darragh Brosnan and points from Darragh Leen, Liam O’ Brien, Kieran Goggins, Dean Lenihan. Ardfert got on top again and scored 2-2 before David Rogers and Dylan Mc Hugh pointed to leave five between us at the end. Well done to all and we travel to meet MilltownC’maine next Sunday night.
FAOI 12 (b) Ballymac 3-6 Ardfert 2-2. The match was played at a very blustery Ballymac pitch on Sunday evening last. The boys put in a very spirited performance. Playing with a strong breeze in the first half the boys used the elements to their advantage. Captain for the night Darragh Broderick took some great scores ably assisted with some lovely ball from our defenders, where Ciaran Brosnan and Eoghan Kenny played a stormer. Kyle O’Connor and Ryan Mc Hugh put in some great tackles to keep Ardfert out. The second half was dominated by our boys where team work was very evident. Sean Horan on his introduction got some lovely scores and Jack Tobin at full forward took a great goal. Jonathan Lowe put in a great game and his scores were a delight. Overall the lads played as a team and played for each other. Keep up the good work boys.
