FAOI 16: U16 training continues on Wednesday at 6.30pm.
FAOI 14: We travelled to Killarney to play a challenge game against Dr Crokes in their fine facilities last week. We were a bit hesitant and bit rusty for much of the half and this allowed Crokes build up a big lead. As the half wore on we came more into to it and reduced our opponents lead somewhat. The second half was completely different with a big improvement in our performance. We were defending well and creating and taking chances, this was now a great contest with both sides giving their all. A string of fine saves by the Crokes goalie kept them in front. With about ten minutes left there was only a few points between the sides but Crokes rallied again to win the game.Such was the level of Ballymacs performance in this half that we easily outscored our opponents. Given that Crokes are a division one team this was a very encouraging performance on our first game. A bit more fitness, and a better start, maybe a few changes should produce results in the county league. Which begins in early April. Training continues this Wednesday 19th and on Monday 24th and Thursday 27th all at 6.30 in Ballymac pitch.
