The girls began the county league with a good win over Kerins O Rahillys in Ballyrickard on Friday evening last. Well done to all concerned. Round 2 is at home to Castlegregory on WED 22nd May at 7pm. Please note change of date for this game.
FAOI 14: Ballymac 6-8 Feale Rangers 2-12. Well Done to all involved with the boys. The U14s are now in the Castleisland District Quarter Final, played on Wednesday 22nd May.
FAOI 12(B) Annascaul B 2-4 Ballymac B 6-6. On Sunday last our boys travelled to a beautiful Annascaul pitch. The game was played in ideal conditions and the lads performed well to ensure they came home with the points. They led comfortably at half time but endured pressure in the second half, and Annascaul were within four points at one stage. However a good finish by the lads saw them closing out the game. Best performances on the night included Ciaran Brosnan, Eoghan Kenny, Aiden O’Brien and Jon Lowe. Next up Glenflesk at home in Ballymac.
FAOI 12 (A) The U12 boys were in action against a powerful Annascaul team last Sunday evening. The boys put in a valiant effort but were over powered by the home side on the night. The boys will next play Glenflesk on Sunday night in Ballymac at 7pm.
FAOI 10: The U10 boys had an enjoyable outing in Blennerville on Sunday 19th of May. Players that caught the eye of their mentors were Jamie Sugrue, Adam Joy, Adam Kelly, Padraig Sullivan and Ryan Mc Hugh. Keep up the great work boys! On Thursday night 16th of May, we had three thrilling games in the Castleisland Blitz, held in Ballymac. Players that impressed included Adam O’Keeffe, James Bailey, Denis Brosnan, Adam Wharton and Mark O’Connor. Thank You to all involved in making the Blitz a success. The third night of Castleisland District u10 Blitz will take place next week in Currow. No time or day fixed yet.
We are taking the U10 boys to Kerry game. Please contact Jer Lynch (087 2025402) if you require a seat. The bus will be leaving Ballymac at 11am next Sunday morning from the pitch.
FAOI 8: The boys were in action against St. Pats on Sunday morning. Alex O’Riordan, Jack O’Connor, Niall Collins, Luke Horgan, Aiden Horgan, Diarmuid Galvin and Michael Prendergast were particularly impressive on the day. The second night of Castleisland District blitz for the U8 boys will take place in Ballymac this Thursday night at 7pm.
MÍLE BUIOCHAS: Many thanks to all in St Pats, Blennerville for hosting the U6, U8 and U10 boys. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day for all.
ACADEMY: Clear skies greeted Academy players and mentors on Sunday morning. With the boys in action elsewhere the girls had the run of the pitch. Well done to Ava, Kate and Rí- Ann who impressed their mentors with their skills. Please note Academy will NOT take place on Sunday 26th of May due to the Kerry game.
