Last Sunday evening we went to Na Gaeil in phase 2 of the County Football League. After two very exciting and sporting games of football our Blue and Gold teams just came up short. All players can feel proud of themselves as they represented the Club with great pride on the night. This coming Sunday 27th we welcome our neighbours Castleisland Desmonds to Ballymac in Round two of the County League at 7.00pm. We ask all parents to come and support the teams on the night in this eagerly awaited clash.
U10 Blitz:
There was a great turnout of our U10’s for this blitz ably assisted by a few U8’s. Thanks to those U8 players who all played their part in very exciting games.
Team M took on Scartaglin and Currow and displayed some great skills, those to impress included, Cathal Culloty, Darragh Cassidy and Eoghan Kenny.
Team L played Cordal and Desmonds and again some great football was played on the night with Bryan Godley, Denis Brosnan and Ryan McHugh to the fore, well done to all involved.
Many thanks to Eamonn Sheehy and Martin Lowe for helping out on the night and to Currow GAA Club for a well run blitz!
Ballymac Academy:
In wonderful sunshine last Sunday morning huge numbers turned out again at our Academy. It is hoped that a number of games will be arranged over the coming weeks for all age groups both boys and girls. Training next Sunday morning will continue at 11am sharp.
We would like to wish all children in the parish who are studying for exams at the moment the very best of luck.
Comhghairdeas:
Ballymac GAA Coiste na nÓg wish to congratulate all Juveniles who received their First Holy Communion over recent week-ends. Congrats to all !!
Club Merchandise:
Club gear which includes Jerseys, shorts, socks, kit-bags, hoodies etc can be obtained at the Club shop every Sunday morning from 11am to 12 15pm. One can also avail of a Club voucher which can be given as the ideal gift. This voucher can then be used to purchase club gear at any time. We encourage all players to wear the club colours at the academy but this is not essential. However, when representing the club in any game we hope that all players will wear the appropriate gear.
Kellogs Cúl Camps 2012:
The GAA Cúl Camps will run again at Ballymac GAA club this coming summer from Monday July 30th to Fri Aug 3rd and we are encouraging all juveniles aged between 6 and 14 years of age to sign up to the Cúl Camps. After very successful football camps over the past three years, we are hoping that as many youngsters as possible will attend again this year. Cost for first child is €55. It is €45 for second child of same family and €40 for third child of the same family.
