FAOI 12 (A): Ballymac 0-06 Milltown/C’maine 4-09. We played Milltown/C’maine last Sunday night in round three of the County Football League. In a game which we started well playing against the wind we went in at the break 2-03 to 0-04 down. Hopes were high for the second half and with a strong breeze at our backs we took the game to Milltown. However a few early scores for Milltown/C’maine put us under pressure and they ran out winners in the end. A great effort was put in all the boys who never stopped to the end. Next up Sunday night we are away to St Senans.
FAOI 12 (B): Div 4b. Milltown/C’maine 0-0 Ballymac 6-12. The lads put in a great evenings work on Sunday last. We played in ideal conditions and the lads took the initiative from the throw in and showed a complete range of skills. Block downs were great to see by a number of the lads and the team play ensured that the lads were in control at all times. All areas of the field won their individual battles and the lads recorded a comfortable victory. Next up a trip to St. Senans on Sunday 28th.
ACADEMY: Academy returned to clear skies this week. It was a quieter than usual Sunday morning at the field and the extra space was used to its full potential. The U8 and U10 girls showed some promising kicking and passing skills with Roisin Long, Emily O’Donoghue, Kerry Hennessy and Sarah Mason particularly impressing with their talent.
