FAOI 14: BALLYMAC 5-10 KERINS O RAHILLYS 6-13
Our final central league round game was away to Kerins O’Rahillys on Monday July 15th. Still short some regulars we found scores hard to
come by. Trailing by 1-4 to no score midway through the half it was another five minutes before Keelan opened our account with two frees.
Rahillys scored another 2-4 before the break while Cathal Dunne goaled for us on the stroke of half time. While we might have picked off a
few more scores we would have been further behind only for superb goalkeeping by David Rodgers. Half time score Rahillys 3-8 Ballymac 1-2.We conceded a goal and two points immediately on the restart. The next ten minutes belonged to Ballymac during which, Keelan scored 2-4,
Ciaran Nolan a goal, Barry and David a point each. We were now really back in the game, Rahillys added further points, and Dara Reagan goaled for us. However two late goals by Rahillys sealed the issue. A great second half performance by our boys which was much appreciated by mentors and supporters.
