The girls played two games in the North Kerry league last week. Castlegregory were the visitors on Wed last. Our girls put up a great performance in winning this game on a scoreline of Ballymac 6-07 Castlegregory 1-02. Next up we played Finuge/St Senans on Sunday again in Ballymac. The girls put on a great display once again and ran out winners on a scoreline of Ballymac 3-04 Finuge/St Senans 1-04. A feature of both displays was our strong defensive performances. Well done to everyone! Next up is a trip to Ballybunion to play Beale on Wed 27th at 6pm. Please be there for 5.30pm
FUN WALK:
The girls club are holding a fun walk on Easter Monday 1st April at Ballyseedy Woods. The walk will begin at 11.00am from the Farmers Bridge carpark. All funds raised will go towards the running of the girls club.
TABLE QUIZ:
There is a Table Quiz being held this Friday 29th March (Good Friday) in St. Brendan’s Community Centre @ 7.30pm in aid of Ballymacelligott Coiste na nÓg to help raise funds in the development of the Juvenile field. There will also be raffles on the night and refreshments served. €5 each entry. Team 4 €20.

FAOI 14: Training will take place this Wednesday 27th at 6.30p.m in Ballymac. We will play the first round of County League on Friday 29th against Fossa in Ballymac at 5.30pm (please note the time change).All players to be at Ballymac pitch for 4.45pm.

On Friday last we hosted killcummin in two very entertaining games at Ballymac. Those who stood out on the evening were Liam o Brien Darragh Leen and Diarmuid lynch for the gold team and Darragh Broderick Bryan Cassidy and Eoghan Kenny for the blue team. This was a good challenge for both teams in preparation for their trip to croke park. Next up on Tuesday evening 26/3/13 we host a castleisland district blitz at our grounds. A return visit to Kilcummin is planned with date to be confirmed
We wish Dylan Dunne Moriarty, Dean Linehan and Kieran Coggins a swift return to action after recent setbacks. Our first league fixture is Sunday 7/4/13 away to Ballyduff at 7pm.
Our U12 boys training continues on Wednesday evenings from 6.30 to 7.45 and Saturday evenings from 5.00-6.15. Well done boys! Any new players interested in joining us can contact Mike Brosnan on 087 9240661.
ACADEMY: Well done to all the coaches and players on braving the cold on Sunday morning last to attend the Academy. Once again valiant efforts were made by all the players across all age groups and their skills are visibly improving. Matthew Rogers, Eoghan Joy, Sam Boyle, Gearoid Healy, Micheal O Connor and Michael Quirke displayed great skill in the U6 boys group. As did Diarmuid Galvin, Niall Collins, Ben Sharpe, Thomas Leen, Cathal White, Shane Gilroy and Evan Boyle for the U8 boys. Keep up the fantastic work boys! The U10 boys were also impressive on Sunday in particular Kieran Slattery, Garry Lynch, Thomas O Connor, Mossie Brennan and Donal Daly. Not to be out done the all the girls were equally impressive especially Alice, Orla and Shauna. Well done girls!
There will be no Academy on Easter Sunday 31st of March, we will resume on Sunday 7th April at 11a.m.
MILE BUIOCHAS: A big Thank You to all involved with the Ballymac Drama group for putting on a repeat performance of the play ‘Don’t Tell the Wife’ to raise funds for Ballymac Coiste na nÓg.
