And on Thursday last we travelled into Chamfers to take on John Mitchels and despite a brave effort by the Blue team went down on a scoreline of 5-10 to 3-10. Good displays by Daire Keane, Tadhg Brick, David McCarthy, Oisin reidy Gilroy and Joshua O Keeffe. Our Gold team continued their impressive form with another victory against the Green and Gold, thus continuing their unbeaten record in this competition. Impressive displays by Rachel Godley, Jack Sugrue, Eoin Kenny, Eoghan Leahy and Kieran Coggins. Last Monday evening Aug 27th, both our Blue and Gold teams hosted Annascaul in Rd 4 of the Central League. This coming Monday evening Sept 3rd we travel west to play Dingle in the final round of the League. Travel arrangements will be made before the week-end.
Faoi 14: We commence our Coiste Thrá Lí U-14 League this Wednesday Aug 29th with a game at home to Stacks “B”, beginning at 6 30pm. Then this Fri Aug 31st we play John Mitchels in Rd 2 of the same competition. This game is scheduled to be played in Chamfers in Tralee. Next Wed Sept 5th we travel to Blennerville to take on St. Pats in Rd 3 and our final league game is at home to Rahillys “B” on Wednesday Sept 12th. With the top team qualifying straight to the final, teams finishing in 2nd and 3rd positions will play in the semi-final. Competition will be intense ! Best of Luck to all.
Faoi 16: U-16s will begin their Coiste Thrá Lí Div 2 campaign this coming Sunday Sept 2nd with a home tie against Ardfert. Throw-in time for the encounter is 12 30pm in Ballymac. Na Gaeil and Austin Stacks “B” are the other teams in the Division.
Girls U12: On Suday morning we had a game against Ballyduff. After a very slow start the girls got going and put in an impressive second half. Training will continue in Sunday next. Academy: Our Sunday morning academy continued last week-end with great numbers once again in attendance. Laura Dunne, Geraldine Cassidy, Eimear Curran and Sinéad McKeown all impressed for the U-10 girls and great strides have been made over the past number of months. Remember to continue to practise all those footballing skills at home !

All Ireland Handball Champion: Michaela O Donoghue had a great win in Tuamgraney Co Clare on Sunday last in the All Ireland under15 single girls. Michaela over came Sligo’s Aoife Quinn in a spectacular display of handball with the final score 4 – 15 15- 5 15- 3. Congrats from everyone in Ballymacelligott GAA Club!!
