The girls played Castlegregory in round 2 of the County League on Wed night last and made it two wins from two. The girls put in a great performance and ran out winners on a scoreline of Ballymac 5-05 Castlegregory 0-02. It was great to see 22 girls turning out to play for the club on the night.
U14 GIRLS DIV2
Ballymac/NaGaeil V John Mitchels .On a fine Sunday evening in May saw the first ever U14 girls team turn out in the club colours on home turf and win 2-8 to 1-6. FAOI 14. Training continues on Monday and Thursday evening this week at 7 pm in the main pitch. Unfortunately in the Castleisland District our U14s had to give way to a much stronger East Kerry side in Farranfore last Wednesday evening.
FAOI 12: We played Glenflesk tonight at home in U12 County League. Ballymac Blue Team 2-5 Glenflesk 6-16. A great performance was put in by all the players, however the boys were just very unlucky on the night.
FAOI 12(B) Ballymac B 6-16 Glenflesk B 1-3. Our lads secured a lead early on in the game and dominated throughout. Our U10 players are really benefitting from these games. Sean Horan, Ryan McHugh, Cathal Culloty, James Bailey, Bryan Godley and Adam O’Keeffe are getting invaluable experience and are improving weekly. Darragh Broderick was a tour de force throughout the match. Next up Milltown at home on Sunday night.
FAOI 8: On Thursday night last we played our second blitz of the year in Ballymac, other teams to participate included Desmonds, Currow, Cordal and Scartaglin. Once again we had two teams taking part. Well done to all the boys who took park. Jack O’Flaherty, Tommy Palmer, Kealan Lynch, Sean Rice, Cathal White and Jamie Burke played particularly well. Keep up the great work.
MÍLE BUIOCHAS: The U8 blitz was held in Ballymac on Thursday and once again was a very successful event. Well done to coaches Ger Collins, John Rice & Brian Boyle. Many thanks also to Geoff Riordan for refereeing on the night.
ACADEMY: Academy will return at 11am on Sunday 2nd June. There will be no Castleisland District blitz for any team this week. We travelled with a group of kids to Kerry v Tipperary game in Killarney on Sunday. Thank You to Jack Culloty, Eddie O’Connell, David Slattery, Ann Lynch & Jer Lynch for accompanying them and making it an enjoyable excursion.

CONGRATULATIONS to Daire Keane from O’Brennan N.S who lined out with the Kerry primary schools 11 a side team in Killarney on Sunday. Daire took centre stage at half time during the Kerry v Tipperary match. Daire is a fantastic representative of both O’Brennan and Ballymac Club. Well Done Daire.
