Central Board Rd 6 Result :Ballymac 3-07 Castlegregory 2-11. Our lads relinquished their 100 % record in the League when going down to our West Kerry rivals by the minimum at Castle on Monday evening last. It was a below par display by our lads and yet again the concession of two late goals proved our downfall once more. Despite relatively good performances by Eoin Lyons in goals, Vincent Horan and Jack Scanlon in attack and MossieLeen, we seem to be unable to kill off teams when we are in the ascendency. It is a matter that will have to be addressed in the immediate future if we wish to advance to the latter stages of competitions. There is no lacking of effort only that we seem to switch off at crucial times. No doubt matters will improve soon. Despite this reversal, we still managed to top the League and we now face either Lispole or Castle’ in the semi-final which will be played this Monday evening May 9th. We are hoping for a better display in this one. Best of Luck to the boys !Foireann : Eoin Lyons, Jack O Shea, Patrick O Connor, MossieLeen, Graham Breen, Scott O Brien, Gerard Browne, Dylan Goggin, Vincent Horan, Stephen Bermingham, Jack Scanlon, Jonathan Brick, Christopher Leen, CianLonergan, Sean Savage.

County League Rd 4 Result : Milltown/ Castlemaine 1-12 Ballymac 3-02
County League Rd 5 Result : Beaufort 6-07 Ballymac 3-16
Both these games were played last week and to be truthful these two performances were well below par as we struggled in most areas. Despite gaining just one point from two games, our good early season form guaranteed us a semi-final spot and a game against John Mitchels this week. Our performance will certainly need to improve if we harbour any thoughts of reaching the County Final. Only the O Shea brothers, Jack and Jerdie, Eoin Lyons and Max O Brien have maintained any sort of good form through the two games and each and every player will need to up the ante in this weeks game. Its just a matter of rediscovering our form which will no doubt soon follow. Foireann : Robert Dowd, Max O Brien, Eoin Lyons, Gary Horan, Chris Rogers, Tomas O Connor, Morgan Quirke, Jack O Shea, Aaron Dunne, Joe Cassidy, MicheálReidy, CillianBrosnan, Jerdie O Shea, Chris Leen, Paddy O Donnell. Subs used, David Long and Daniel Goggin.

County League Rd 2 Result :Ballymac “Gold” beaten by Brosna.
Both our U-12 teams were in action in Rd 3 of the County League on Sunday evening last and impressive displays were given by the two teams. Team Blue had outstanding displays from the likes of Brian Lonergan, Christopher Lowe, Micheál Hoare and Stephanie Doyle while Team Gold players Joshua O Keeffe, Liam O Brien, Amy Wharton and AlusinJah were to the fore. It was an enjoyable occasion with both games running simultaneously and a large crowd in attendance on a fine evening for football. All the footballing skills were on display and it is testament to the great work being done by team mentors Liam Nolan, Tony Selles, Fiona Goggin and Aidan Dunne. Next Sunday sees both teams travel to Fossa with throw in time of 7pm sharp for both games.
Training
It has long been club policy that all players train with their own age groups. Team mentors at all age levels have requested that all juveniles train at their own age group and that it is essential to attend training regularly. Of course, there will be the odd occasion that players will be unable to attend but we ask that all juveniles endeavour to attend training and to be punctual for training times. Only players who attend training regularly will be considered for selection on match day. Also, training dates and times are always sent via text message from team mentors.
Ballymac Academy
Our u-6s, U-8s and U-10s returned to training after the Easter Break on Sunday morning last and all present acquitted themselves well. It is evident that great progress is being made by all and our footballing skills are gradually improving. Trojan work is being done by all our mentors at under-age level and it is their dedication to coaching football which results in childrens participation, enjoyment and and fulfilment. Players to shine last Sunday morning included Conor Breen, Niall Collins, Luke and Aidan Horgan, Tommy Palmer and Jared O Briain. The Girls are also progressing well with Emily O Donoghue, Cathy Palmer, Sinéad McKeown and Kate Collins also impressing. Our U-10s under the guidance of Jer Lynch and MossieLeen can also be proud of their endeavours with Aidan O Brien, Brian Cassidy, Cian Godley and Harry Luck showing the way. Training continues this coming Sunday May 8th at 11 am sharp. See ye all there !
