Our U-10 team travelled into Tralee to play Kerins O Rahillys at Ballyrickard on Saturday morning last. Despite the miserably wet conditions, our lads took no notice of the adverse weather and put in a sterling performance against the Blues. All players played with admirable composure and some outstanding individual and team play was witnessed throughout the morning. The two McHugh brothers Ryan and Dylan performed ever so well as did diminutive James Bailey in the forward line. Aidan O Brien proved a very valuable goalkeeper as Jack Tobin in defence repelled attack after attack. The two Adams, Adam O Keeffe and Adam Sheehy, Cathal Culloty and Darragh Broderick also impressed on a day when the management team were very satisfied with the mornings work.
Our u10s played their fourth and final blitz at Scartaglin on a beautiful evening. Congrats to Scartaglin for a well turned out field and well run event. We fielded two teams, team L played Desmonds and Currow with some exciting football played in both games, to catch the eye were Maurice O’ Connell, Bryan Godley and Ryan Mc Hugh Team m again played Desmonds and Currow with some freeflowing football on view, standout performances were given by Thomas O’ Connor, Mark O’ Connor and Adam Joy

The U-8s also figured prominently against our town rivals when they displayed some fine footballing touches in the rain drenched match against O Rahillys. Players to impress were Aidan Horgan, Donal Daly, Padraic Heffernen, Michael Prendergast, Mossie Brennen, Andy Rogers, Maurice O Connell and Darragh Sweeney. A fine team has been assembled at this age group and we encourage all the youngsters to hone in on their skills at home as well. Congrats to the U-8 team on their fine performance.
