Our U14 Girls played round four of the County league Division 2 on Monday Evening @ 7pm in Ballymacelligott.
Opposition for the home team was Scartaglen and both teams were well supported.
With the weather and pitch condition improved the standard of football played by both teams reflected this with the supporters being treated to a real battle to the end.
Ballymacelligott opened the scoring with a Point from Caroline Hurley in the 6th Minute,
Scartaglen replied strong scoring 2-2 in quick succession,
Cora Savage finished an Aisling O Connell cross to the net on 18 minutes to keep Ballymacelligott within range of their opponents.
A point a piece in the closing stages saw the half time score Scartaglen 2-3 Ballymacelligott 1-2.
The second half was a keenly contested affair and Ballymacelligott started strong in the opening ten minutes notching up 1-5 without reply,
Showing great attitude Scartaglen fought back and scored a goal and a point to bring the game level.
From here the game hung in the balance and could have gone either way,
Cora Savage pointed on 40 minutes to put the slightest daylight between the teams,
The next 16 minutes saw the ball go from end to end until pressure on the Scartaglen kick out saw Ballymacelligott turn over the ball to kick the last score of the game on 56 minutes.

Our U 12 girls continued their impressive form in the Co. League with a good victory away to Scartaglen last Tuesday evening. This Tuesday they play Southern Gales at home at 6.30pm.

Our U 10 girls continue to improve with every passing week. On last Sunday Maura Culloty, Alice Brosnan, Maggie Scanlan and Debra O Connor showed up best.
BUS TO LEAGUE FINAL IN CROKE PARK
Ballymac took a bus load of young and not so young supporters to the National League final in Croke Park on Sunday last. Many thanks to Jeremiah Lynch who organised the trip.
