Ballymac 5-07
Castleisland Desmonds 2-01
The under 12 girls played their second game in Div 2 of the North Kerry League against neighbours Castleisland Desmond’s on Monday the 9th of March in Ballymac and ran out comfortable winners on a score line of 5-07 to 2-01. Missing a number of senior girls on the panel the younger panel members acquitted themselves excellently. Led by Sinead McKeown in defence we gave the visitors very little opportunities in the first half.
Emily O Donoghue at midfield was providing plenty possession for the forwards with Eimear Curran ending the half with 2-01 to her name along with 2 points from Aoife Galvin and one from Emily.
Desmonds responded strongly at the start of the second half with 2 goals, but our girls dug deep and took control of the game with a goal each from Eimear and Aoife and a point from Emma Leen to finish the scoring.
Along with the girls mentioned above, others to play well were Sophie O Donoghue and Laura Dunne in defence and Kate O Connor and Ciara Palmer in the forwards.
