Ballymac were delighted to host the Feile competition on Saturday last. Due to a couple of late withdrawls only 5 teams competed. These were Ballymac, Currow, Kerins O Rahillys, Spa and Kilcummin. The home team opened with a 1-03 to 1-00 victory over Kilcummin but that was followed by defeats by Currow and Kerins O Rahillys which ended their interest in the competition.
Currow emerged as the winners following a 6-00 to 2-01 win over Spa in the final.Well done to Moss Leane, Pat Conway and all the Currow girls!
A massive thanks to Mary Godley who prepared all the food for the day. Many thanks also to Sheila Rahilly and many others who looked after the club shop for the day, and indeed made a very health profit!!

Eventhough the girls had already captured the North Kerry league trophy we had one game to play against Na Gaeil in Tralee on Sunday morning. A much improved Na Gaeil team compared to the team which we beat comprehensively in the earlier rounds took the spoils on a scoreline of 2-8 to 6pts.
The girls travelled to Scartaglen on Tuesday evening last and lost on a scoreline of 4-13 to 4-6 to the home team in the third round of the county league preliminary fixtures. On the night Scart were physically stronger and took their chances despite the best efforts of Emily O Donoghue and Sinead McKeown who took the fight to the hosts all the way. This was their first loss of the season so far, and with Cora Savage having to retire early in the game, Roisin Long injured and Catriona Sommers unavailable the younger girls did really well. Grainne Galvin brought off a couple of great saves in goal, Aylssa Leen ended the game with two goals to her name both coming in the secondhalf, and the Palmer sisters really playing their part in defence. Jade Riordan,Millie Dunne and Bridget Sheehan did well when introduced.
