The latest GAA Club Newsletter is now available to all GAA club members and supporters for download.
Among the highlights this month is an interview with St Oliver Plunkett’s/Eoghan Ruadh clubman Seaghan Kearney about the importance of having a defibrillator at your club. A defibrillator saved his life five years ago when he suffered a heart attack while playing at the club.
We look ahead to the GAA’s plans to commemorate the Centenary of the 1916 Rising on April 24 at Croke Park and to La na gClubanna on May 8, when the fundamental role of GAA clubs will be celebrated across the island of Ireland.
There is also an update on the GAA Club Leadership Development Programme and a look at the continued success of the GAA Healthy Club Project, with 60 clubs now participating in Phase 2.
We look ahead to the All-Ireland club finals on March 17, we have an exclusive interview with Kilkenny hurling legend Tommy Walsh and we review some of the big decisions made at Congress 2016 in Carlow a fortnight ago.
There are also interesting pieces on the importance of Scór, the ‘KickforKolkata’ campaign, Wexford’s magnificent new training centre in Ferns and much, much more.
