A chara,
Ballymacelligott GAA endeavour to build on our past successes and develop the future of our club
and community.
We now field 12 registered teams for both GAA and LGFA and have one of the largest academy
structures in the county.
We aspire to a situation where the day‐to‐day cost of our club (e.g. pitch management, GAA/LGFA
affiliations, insurance, referees and equipment) would be covered by membership fees and lotto
contributions and any money gained from fundraising activities would be put towards development
of our club and facilities. Unfortunately, this did not occur in 2022.
Our financial situation over the last number of years prompted a thorough review of our financial
model. As a result, we have had to change our fee structures and at Special General Meeting on
Friday 27th of January 2023 it was agreed that the club are not in a financial position to continue to
offer discounts for working members.
We recognise the important contributions of our volunteers and value your ongoing support for a
club that is aspiring to greater growth and success in these difficult times.
A payment plan has been put in place to spread the cost of membership.
A thorough review of our fees will take place ahead of our next AGM and we welcome any and all
formal feedback.
Le Meas,
