Our blue team played their first game of the Division 1 campaign against Laune Rangers on Sunday night last.
This game was notable for being the first game ran under the ‘silent sideline’ guidelines.
The game was nip and tuck in the first half with Rangers leading by three points at half time.
Ballymac however had the better start in the second half with goals from Stephen Turner, Ciaran O’Connell, Sam Slattery and Shane Crossan putting the home team in a commanding lead. Rangers came back with a couple of goals of their own but Ballymac ran out winners 5-11 to 3-8.
The result would have surely been much closer but for the magnificient display from Cian Harris between the posts near the end of the match.
Well done to all supporters on observing the silent sideline. Next up Kenmare..
