Our Development squad travel led to Dingle on Sunday 26th March to play the home side in the first game of the Development League for 2023.
To paraphrase the Dingle PRO “It was a fine day for football”
Last year this Development League was a wonderful competition to bring on our young players and give them games. This year we hope it works as well. The young players learning and playing with their more experienced club mates.
The game was 13 a side. Eoin Culloty donned the number 1 Jersey and he did very well for his first time in goal.
Michael Herlihy, Josh O’Keeffe and Niall Collins worked hard with Niall scoring 5 of our points.
Our side missed six clear goal chances that on another day would have resulted in a score.
It was a great gritty team performance from our lads. A lot of things did not go our way and on the other hand the determination and never say die attitude of all the team was commendable and will stand to all of them going forward.
Next week we have County League and we wish the senior team every success.
