Now that you have gone to rest
Ted, in Gods great golden shore
It is sad to think you will walk
That field you loved no more.
The blue and gold your pride and joy
How you loved to see them win.
The proudest moment of your
Life when they won the Novice Crown
How you held that cup aloft
As we drove through Tralee Town
Down through the years you
Performed your task in a sincere
And honest way and you have made
That Club what it is today-
It is sad that you have left us
Ted, but the ways of God must be,
It is sad to think that you
Have passed into eternity.
When St. Peter blows that whistle
In God’s great golden shore I am
Sure there will be a team Ted
And you will be the Boss once more.
Great games will be talked about
Great players will be long gone
But those memories of you
Ted will forever linger on…
