John Mitchels V Ballymac Blue Team
Coiste Trá Lí League 2020
Our lads have been training very well since early February on the fantastic Astro turf pitch in Castleisland.
Our first competition this year is the Tralee Town League.
Round one was scheduled for a trip to Na Gael on the 4th of March but was called off due to pitch conditions.
We had our first taste of competitive football in 2020 when we travelled to John Mitchels to play in round 2 of the Tralee Town League on Sunday 8th March.
Our under 12 blue team were up first in what were very challenging conditions with strong winds and driving rain. John Mitchel’s had the wind to their advantage in the first half and despite our best efforts they built up a large lead.
Ballymac battled bravely to the final whistle but were unable to make up the deficit .
Players that impressed were John Leen, Eoghan Joy, Jamie Tarrant and Matthew O’ Connor.

Please Note Zero Tolerence Policy
Coiste Trá Lí committee has this year decided to introduce a new zero tolerance policy in regards to the abuse and the use of foul and abusive language towards match officials. It will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
This is being done so as to encourage younger people to take up refereeing. Referees are being instructed by the board to report any form of abuse or foul language they receive either during or after a game.
Any reports of same will be dealt with by the CCCC. This policy has the full backing of the Board and the club delegates.
Please inform mentors of this policy. It is the responsibility of the clubs to inform their mentors of this as ignorance will not be accepted as a defense.
