Our U15 Blue team played Legion in the semi-final of division 2 County league and what a game it turned out to be.
We played with the wind in the first half . It was a hard fought tight 30 min of football and we ended the half on 4 points each with both back lines playing a blinder.
The second half was much of the same nip and tuck football hard tackles great movement and super team play and we ended up 10 points to 1goal 7points
The game went to extra time and where both teams scored 3point each and ended up still level
Unfortunately, we needed penalties to separate the two teams and Ballymac came up short on this occasion

Feile 2023
Ballymacelligott U15 team played in the Féile on Friday evening .
We did not get off to a good start against Churchill who ended up winning 2g 6p to 5p.
We played better in the second game against Fingue and won 4.6 to 3p but it wasn’t enough to see us through to the semi-final stage.
There was some great individual performances and it was great to see the lads enjoying themselves despite the loss.
Churchill went on to beat Fingue in their second game and progressed to the semi-final stage.
We would like to congratulate Churchill who went on to beat Kenmare and become division 2 feile winners
We play Churchill again on Monday night next at home at 6.30 in the final game of the county league.

From the throw in, we chased, tackled, supported and really grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck.
We dominated all over the field and at the short whistle we had a commanding lead of 2-6 to 1-3.

Gold Team
Laune Rangers V Ballymac Gold
Our u15 Gold Team were in action away to Laune Rangers last Friday night, in what really turned out to be a game of 2 halves.
The 1st half was all Ballymac. We combined very well, especially up front, and kicked some wonderful scores. Credit to Laune Rangers keeper, he denied us goals on at least 2 occasions with solid keeping.
Half time score 0-9 to 0-3 in favour of Ballymac.
The 2nd half was all Killorglin. They picked up some early scores and got their goal midway through the half. We were under pressure to keep our lead, and with about 10 mins to go, the opposition took the lead and tagged on more scores to leave us 3 points behind with time nearly up.
Credit to our boys, we refused to surrender and launched 1 final attack. We got the ball into the danger area; it was looking good! But somehow, the goal we so badly needed was denied and the ref sounded the end of the game.
On a lovely evening for football, it wasn’t to be.
Final score: 1-9 to 0-9 to Laune Rangers

Upcoming fixtures
Friday 28th April – U15 Blue team vs Churchill at home in Ballymac at 6pm
Monday 1st May – U15 Gold team vs Na Gaeil at home in Ballymac at 6pm
Our u15 Blue team faced a huge task in our opening Div 1B Co League fixture. An away fixture, to the amalgamated combination of Keel and Listry was never going to be easy.
Our 1st attack yielded a good goal, however, scores by us in 1st half were scarce and laborious.
Half time score
Ballymac 1-1 Keel/Listry 2-12
The 2nd half showed a massive change in our style of play and determination. Attack after attack, score after score, we reeled them in. For the 1st 15 mins we had them in serious trouble! However, Keel/Listry are a very good team, and they eventually regained control and ran out convincing and deserving winners, on a final scoreline of Ballymac1-9 Keel/Listry 3-18.
Though well beaten on the night, our boys showed great attitude and potential. We battled away and never gave in.
We will improve.
