17/08/2025: LGFA Ballymac VS Laune Rangers Bons Secours Kerry LGFA Junior A Championship
Round 1 of the Bons Secours Kerry LGFA Junior A Championship the Ballymac senior ladies team travelled to Killorglin to take on Laune Rangers .
The home side got off to a good start and posted the first 2 scores of the game , a Lisa Curran score saw us off the mark . Laune Rangers got next point followed by a goal from a penalty , after 15mins we trailed by 1-3 to a point . A Kate Collins score from a good run by sister Anna reduced the lead . Shortly after a yellow card for Aisling resulting in a 10min sinbining saw our girls spring into action reeling off 5 points in a row to lead by one . Rangers equalised from a free just before halftime 1-4 to 0-7 .
Tina Donnelly O’Connor came on for the 2nd half and made a considerable impact . We dominated the 2nd half & outscored Laune Rangers 2-6 to 4pts . Goals coming from Kate Collins and Tina o Connor,both coming from turn overs by Roisin. While there was a good work ethic by all girls on the day Eve Creedon was immense and closely followed by Rachel Griffin and Kate Collins.
A win achieved and definitely some improvements to be made . We play Spa Killarney next Sunday 12 noon in Ballymac in round 2 .
